아돌프 엘 아살(Adolf El Assal)
아돌프 엘 아살은 1981년 이집트의 알렉산드리아에서 태어났다. 영국 킹스턴 대학에서 영화를 전공한 뒤 2008년 <디비전Z>의 프로듀서로 일했는데 이 작품은 베를린 영화제에서 첫 상영을 한 이래 100개가 넘는 영화제에서 상영되었다. 이후 그는 2011년 <유명한 길>과 <신들의 대결> 등 단편영화를 만들었고, 2014년 첫 장편 <악명 높은 남자>를 연출했다. <이집트 DJ 사와>는 그의 최신작이다. Born in Alexandria, Egypt in 1981, Adolf El Assal grew up in Dubai, London and Luxembourg. After graduating with a MA in Filmmaking from Kingston University in the United Kingdom, he won his spurs while working on several video clips and TV shorts, and worked as a producer on Divizionz (2008) which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival and went on to be selected at over 100 festivals. He has since directed a couple of short films including the award-winning La Fameuse Route... (2011) and Mano de Dios (2011). He completed his first feature, The Notorious Guys in 2014.
