  <카인의 아이들>은 북알바니아의 작은 마을을 배경으로 한 작품이다. 이 마을은 마치 시간이 멈춘 듯 오래된 율법들 (KANUN)이 여전히 마을 주민들의 생과 사를 관장하고 있다. 이 율법하에 살아야 하는 7명의 아이가 만나 카인과 아벨의 이야기를 주제로 토론한다. 자신만의 꿈의 영역을 만들어나가며 의식적 혹은 무의식적으로 아이들은 이 성경 속 이야기와 자신의 이야기를 비교하기 시작한다. 현실과 망각 사이의 희미한 경계에 갇힌 채 아이들은 자신의 트라우마와 감정에 직면해야 하는 기회를 맞이한다.

  
  

   

  
  

  Sons of Cain is a film set in a small village in northern Albania. In this place time is suspended and the severe rules of an old code (KANUN) still dictate life and death of the inhabitants. A group of seven children obliged to live under this code, meet and discuss about the story of Cain and Abel. Creating their own dream space, partially consciously and partially not, they create an analogy between their own stories and the biblical fables. Stuck in the fine line between reality and forgetfulness, this is one of the few chances they have to face their traumas and emotions.
