  독일 브란덴부르크, 여름방학이 시작됐다. 매년 여름 캠프에 참가했던 10살 리아(리사 모엘)는 올해엔 가지 않기로 마음먹는다. 왜냐하면 요즘 들어 학교 친구들이 점점 더 이상해지고 있기 때문이다. 대신 리아는 혼자 자전거를 타고 마을 너머 오래된 농장에 살고 있는 음악가 마크(멕스 슈체) 아저씨 집에 방문하기로 한다. 어느 날 오후, 마을을 산책하던 리아는 동네 소년 5명이 페인트 공장에서 커다란 기름통을 담장 밖으로 옮겨 카트에 싣고 도망가는 것을 목격한다. 호기심이 생긴 리아는 소년들을 따라가 본다. 그리고 소년들이 작은 호수 위에 만들어 놓은 뗏목을 발견하게 된다. 하지만 소년들은 자신들의 무리에 여자 아이인 리아를 끼워주지 않는다. 리아의 여름 방학은 이제 소년들과 함께 놀고 싶어 하는 리아의 모험으로 채워지기 시작한다.

  
  

   

  
  

  The summer holidays have just begun in Brandenburg, but ten-year-old Lea (Lisa Moell) does not go to camp this year with her friends as she normally would. Lately she has been finding the other girls in her school increasingly strange anyway. So Lea ends up driving her bike through the village all by herself and visits Mark (Mex Schlüpfer), an old musician, who lives on a dilapidated farm. One afternoon, Lea rambles through the village and discovers five boys lifting a large blue oil barrel over the fence of a paint factory and driving away with their prey on a bicycle trailer. Lea's curiosity is aroused. At the next opportunity, she follows the boys and discovers that they built a raft on a small lake. The raft is they boys’ property and under no circumstances girls are allowed in the gang. But Lea wants to be part of it very badly and does something for a dare. From this point, the summer seems to be full of adventures.
