  시놉시스
  ‘다우징'은 보이지 않는 수맥, 광맥을 더듬어 가는 금속추나 나뭇가지를 말한다. 이 영화는 한 아이가 겪는 어떤 불온한 날의 궤적을 보여주는 소묘이다. 아이의 의식과 일상의 구분이 흐릿해지면서 현실감은 애매해지고 환상의 증거는 모호해진다. 한 인물의 장례가 준비되는 날, 학교에서 신체검사를 받고 돌아온 아이는 망자의 유품을 보며 알 수 없는 향수에 빠진다.

  Synopsis
  ‘Dowsing' is a method by which underground water or minerals are found through using branches or a metal pendulum. This film follows the tracks of a child through a disquieting day he experiences. The child loses his sense of reality as his distinction between reality and fantasy becomes blurred. A funeral day, the child returns home from a physical examination at school and feels a strange longing watching the deceased person's belongings.

  
  작품소개
  ‘다우징’의 사전적 의미는 시계 따위의 진자나 흔들리는 추를 뜻하며 통상 수맥을 찾는 기구를 말한다. 마치 마법이나 특별한 초자연적인 느낌을 주는 제목에서 느끼는 것처럼 이 작품은 명확히 정의할 수 없는 것으로 가득 채워져 있는 실험영화이다.  첫 장면에 피를 흘리는 소녀의 모습은 통상적인 영화에서 보여 지는 어떤 위험이나 갈등의 조짐이 아니라 매우 탐미적인 느낌을 준다. 구체적인 플롯을 가지고 이야기가 진행되는 것이 아니라 상징적인 이미지와 사운드를 사용하여 내용보다는 정서를 환기시키는 방식으로 또한 감정보다는 감각적인 면에 중점을 두는 실험적인 모습을 띠고 있다. 촬영 또한 마치 사진처럼 정지되어 있거나 거의 움직임이 없는 사물이나 정지된 인물의 모습을 찍고 사운드 역시 완벽한 무음이 여러 번 나타나고 뒤이어 극단적인 소리를 연결하는 등 많은 영화적 실험을 한 작품이다.

  About Film
  The dictionary definition of 'dowsing' is the pendulum or that kind of device which is used to locate ground water. As you can guess from its magical or supernatural title, this is an experimental film filled with vagueness. A bleeding girl in the first scene gives a very aesthetic impression rather than any signs of danger or conflict as in the conventional films. This film is emotionally evocative using symbolic images and sounds not following specific plot. It is experimental as it appeals to senses rather than feelings. It includes various cinematic experiments such as filming stationary objects and motionless people just like photos or connecting absolute silence and extreme sounds.

  시놉시스
  그들은 열일곱이다. 소년들은 백댄서가 꿈이고 소녀들은 아이돌 스타를 만나는 것이 꿈이다. 그들은 모여서 춤 연습을 한다. 담배를 핀다. 그들은 학교 수업에 빠지고 화장을 하고 옷을 갈아입고 콘서트에 간다. 또한 그들은 편의점에서 물건을 훔치고 발각이 되자 욕을 한다. 태연히 편의점을 나온다. 그리고 부모님이 없는 친구네 집에 모여 술을 마시며 흥청댄다. 힙합을 추고 랩을 한다.

  Synopsis
  They are 17 years old. The boys want to be back-up dancers and girls to meet idol stars. They get together and practice dancing. They smoke. Skipping classes, they go to concerts putting on makeup and changing their clothes. They also steal things from convenience stores and say bad words when they are caught. Then, they gather in their friend's house where parents are away from and go on a drinking spree, dancing to the hip-hop music and doing rapping.      

  
  작품소개
  <열일곱>은 우선 불편함을 주는 영화다. 왜나면 이 영화는 날 것의 모습을 하면서 실제로 삶에서 튀어 나온 청소년들의 모습을 하고 있기 때문이다. 문제아로 보이는 소년과 소녀에게 서로 다르게 일어나는 두 이야기는 우리가 막연히 짐작하지만 사실은 전혀 알지 못하는 반항적인 청소년의 모습을 생생하게 보여준다. 이 생생함은 영화 내내 듣게 되는 거친 대사와 함께 흔들리는 카메라의 핸드헬드를 통해 더욱 구체화된다. 과거든 현재든 아니 그것이 미래든 질풍노도의 시기를 사는 아이들이 원하는 것은 영화의 마지막에 나오는 노래의 가사처럼 ‘하고 싶은 것을 할 뿐’이다.

  About Film
  is uncomfortable to watch, as its characters are so real. The two different stories of each boy and girl who looks like troublemakers vividly show rebellious youth, which you might vaguely imagined but have never known at all. This realistic feature is even more materialized by the rough dialogue and a shaking handheld camera. Regardless of the time, past, present or future, what the young people want is 'to do what they want', just as in the lyrics.

  시놉시스
  연주는 결혼 전부터 사람들의 꿈에 대한 다큐멘터리를 개인적으로 촬영해오고 있었는데, 결혼과 가정으로 인한 일상에 묶여서 그녀의 꿈은 자꾸만 뒤로 처진다. 어느 날, 호수 위에 홀로 배를 젓는 꿈에서 깨어난 연주는 하수구가 넘쳐 거실이 온통 물에 잠겨 있는 것을 발견하고 아연해진다.

  Synopsis
  Yeon-ju has been shooting her own documentary about people's dream but it is delayed due to her marriage and family. One day, awaken from a dream of rowing a boat alone on the lake, she finds out her living room is flooded by the overflowing sewers and becomes dumbstruck.

  
  작품소개
  과거에 대한 후회와 지나간 꿈에 대한 이야기다. 세상의 모든 사람들에게 이제는 다시 돌아올 수 없는 과거의 시절에 내가 원했던 하지만 결국 이루지 못했던 꿈에 대한 영화다. 마치 어릴 적 좋아했던 풀빛 사탕처럼... 한 영화 안에 다른 이야기 여기서는 픽션안에 다큐멘터리를 삽입해서 두 개의 이야기가 결합이 되었을 때 진정으로 이야기가 완성된다. 영화는 우리에게 잃어버린 당신의 꿈은 무엇이었냐고 또 감독 스스로가 자신 꿈은 무엇이었냐고 자문하는 듯하다.

  A different story in one film. A documentary is included in this fiction and two stories are combined perfecting a story. This film asks a question what your dream was, which seems like the director asking that question to himself.

  시놉시스
  어느 시골 마을에 사는 할아버지와 꼬마 손녀를 통해 시골의 잔잔한 일상을 그린 단편영화.  소리는 간밤에 이불을 온통 적셔놓아 할아버지에게 혼이 난다. 노인은 이런저런 뒤섞인 감정들로 부아를 내지만 결국 손녀가 안쓰럽다. 스스로 말하지 못하고 남의 말을 되풀이할 줄밖에 모르는 소리... 우체부는 빈집들에 편지를 배달하며 점점 지쳐간다. 소리는 허수아비와 장난을 치며 논다. 개울에서 맞닥뜨린 우체부와 소리는 자신들만의 웃음을 노을 아래 온 산천에 뿌려놓는다.

  Synopsis
  It's a short film which depicts everyday lives of a grandfather and a little granddaughter in a countryside. So-ri is scolded because she wet the blanket last night. The old man gets angry mixed with emotions but he feels sorry for her. She can only repeat the words of others without speaking her own. The town postman is getting tired of delivering letters to empty houses. So-ri plays with scarecrow. The postman and So-ri who happen to meet at the stream, their laughter echoes down all the mountain in the evening glow.

   

  작품소개
  외딴 시골에 홀로 살고 있는 소녀와 그녀의 할아버지. 소녀는 함께 놀아줄 친구도 그녀를 돌봐줄 엄마도 없이 햇빛과 허수아비만이 유일한 그녀의 친구다. 그녀가 사는 텅 빈 집들로 가득 찬 마을로 오는 유일한 사람은 어리숙한 집배원뿐이다. 그만이 유일하게 이 버려진 장소인 시골과 밖을 연결하고 있지만 그는 갈 곳이 없는 편지만을 잔뜩 가지고 있다. 이제는 그가 아니라 강물만이 주인에게 편지를 배달할 수 있다. 그 사실을 소녀가 집배원에게 알려준다.

  About Film
  A girl lives with her grandfather in an isolated rural area. She has no friends to play with. Without her mom, her only companions are sunshine and a scarecrow. The only person visits her town full of empty houses is a naive postman. Only he connects this abandoned place and the outside but he brings back the unopened letters. Now no one but the river can deliver the letters. The girl let him know the fact.
