  시놉시스
  에크위라는 이름의 어린 소녀는 엄마가 일하는 사창가에서 살고 있다. 다른 여성들 누구도 엄마의 이름을 알지 못하고 단지 ‘인도’라고만 부른다. 어린 소녀는 점점 엄마가 어떤 일을 하는지 알게 된다.

  Synopsis
  A little girl named E'çkwe lives in a house of prostitution where her mother works. None of the other women know the mother's name and they simply refer to her as "La India". Slowly the little girl becomes aware of the nature of her mother's work.

   

  연출의도
  이 영화는 자신들의 거주지에서 쫓겨나 콜롬비아 칼리에서 살고 있는 Nasa Indigenous Community 의 후원으로 만들어졌다. 이 다큐멘터리는 내 조국에서 같은 상황에 처해있는 모든 여성과 아이들에게 바친다. 나는 문화 다양성과 여성과 토착민 어린이들의 권리에 대해 숙고의 장을 마련하고 싶었다. 특히 콜롬비아에서 대대로 자신의 영토였던 곳에서 강제 이주된 토착여성들과 어린이들에 관해서.
  Director’s Statement
  This short film was made with the support of the Nasa Indigenous Community displaced of their territories that live in Cali, Colombia. This documentary is dedicated to all the women and children that live this situation in my country. I wanted to make a reflection about a Cultural Diversity and Rights of women and indigenous children. In special, indigenous women and children that have been displaced of their ancient territories in Colombia.

  일상적인 현실은 가장 강력한 영화적 이야기가 아닐까?  젊은 엄마와 창녀촌에서 생활하는 한 소녀의 눈은 마치 카메라의 렌즈처럼 그녀가 생활하는 공간과 그 공간 너머를 중성적으로 바라보고 드러나게 한다. 마치 소녀의 이름이 비유하듯이 한 마리의 새처럼 과연 그녀는 이 공간 너머의 세상으로 날아갈 수 있을까?

  모니카 마리아 몬드라곤 트리아나 Mónica María Mondragón Triana
  바예 대학에서 시청각을 전공하고 Social Communication 대학원을 나왔다. 영화 발전 기금 장학금으로 바예 대학과 프랑스 Ateliers VARAN가 주최한 창의적 다큐멘터리 국제학위 코스인 "View of Two Worlds"에서 수학했다.
  지역사회의 현상과 토착사회에 대한 그녀의 관심은 지역사회 축제나 행사에서 열리는 워크숍을 통해서 자신의 비전을 공유하도록 이끌었다. 그녀는 취약한 공동체에서 소수민족단체와 여성단체의 갈등과 총체적 영토문제를 다루기 위해 보내주는 인도주의적 지지를 경험했다.

  Graduate of Social Communication, majoring in the audio-visual area, in Valle University. She attended the International Diploma Course in Creative Documentary, “View of Two Worlds”, organized by Valle University and the Ateliers VARAN from Paris, both with Film Development Fund Scholarships.
  Her interest in community processes and indigenous communities has taken her to share her vision through workshops in community festivals and events. Mónica has experience in vulnerable communities, humanitarian support to high risk populations and fieldwork in areas of armed conflict and collective territories of ethnic groups and women groups.

  Dandong, China shares a border at the Amrok River with the neighboring city of Shinuiju, in North Korea. Illegal immigrant Choongshim works at a massage parlor, but she's chased away by Chinese police, taking refuge with a Korean businessman that had been kind.

  압록강을 사이에 둔 북한의 신의주와 중국의 단둥엔 탈북자 충심이 살고 있다. 영화는 탈북자 충심을 따라 그녀의 고된 삶을 거리를 두고 보여주고 있다. 하지만 영화의 시간과 이야기는 충심의 삶처럼 꼬여 있는 듯 순서 없이 나열되어 있고 거기엔 충심의 희망도 미래도 보이지 않는다.

  깊은 산 속 자연과 하나뿐인 산양과 부대끼며 살던 소년에게 두 '언어'가 찾아온다. 채찍과 당근으로 소년을 지배하려는 '아버지(나치군)'의 언어. 수평으로 맞춘 눈빛과 나무의 음악(피리)으로 소년과 함께하려는 '친구(흑인)'의 언어. 극 앙각으로 포착하는 아버지의 언어는 소년의 내면으로 침잠해 들어오기에는 너무 멀다. 수평으로 포착하는 소년과 그저 놀려고 했던 친구의 언어는 이미 소년의 내면을 흔들어 놓았다. 아버지에 의해 둘의 숨바꼭질이 들켜버린 절체절명의 순간, 소년은 그 놀이를 잊지 못하고 친구와 나눴던 언어를 제 얼굴에, 제 내면에 칠해버린다.

  Two 'languages' come to a boy who lives deep in the mountains with a goat. One is the language of his 'father(Nazi)' who attempts to dominate using the carrot and the stick. The other is the one of his 'friend(black)' who wants to be a friend with the eye-contact from the same hight and the music(flute) of trees. His father's language coming to him vertically was too far to reach him. His friend's language having come horizontally gives him an impact. The moment that his father finds out their playing together, the boy imprints his friend's language into his face, into his inner side.

  제네즈 라판 Janez Lapajne
  1967년 출생. 슬로베니아 독립 영화계의 대표 감독. Ljubljana 대학에서 연출을 전공, 그 당시 만든 작품으로 몇몇 영화제에서 수상함. 비평가들로부터 찬사를 받았던 이 작품들은 , 그리고 . 이 영화들은 현대 슬로베니아 영화의 가장 뛰어난 업적 중 하나이다. PoEtika가 설립한 아카데미에서 연출 기술 연구에 대한 자문 역할을 맡고 있다.
  또한 그는 Ljubljana 멀티미디어 인스티튜트 & 아카데미에서 강의를 하고 있으며, 슬로베니아 감독 조합의 초대 회장을 지냈다. 영화 <누가 검은 늑대를 두려워하는가?>는 1997년에 만든 성공적인 졸업 작품 이 후, 첫 번째 단편영화이다.

His awarded and critically acclaimed feature films – , and – are among most noteworthy achievements of the contemporary Slovenian cinema. Founded PoEtika, an occasional academy for researching the art of film directing, which he heads as mentor. He is a lecturer at the Institute and Academy of Multimedia in Ljubljana, and he has also been the first president of the Directors Guild of Slovenia. is his first short film after his very successful graduation film Breakages(Črepinjice) in 1997.
