  한 조선족 여인의 어느 봄날은 이방인인 그녀에게 봄바람처럼  훈훈하고 동시에 매섭다.  한국인도 서로 나눠 먹기 각박한  현실에서 그녀의 존재는 무엇일까?  영화는 역설적으로 그녀에게는 영원히 오지 않을 인생 봄날을  노래하는 듯하다. 더욱이 그녀의 얼굴은 영화에서 흥미로운데 영화적 시간과 공간을 매개하는 동시에 우리에게 보편적 인간성에 대한 깊은 성찰을 대면하게 하는 듯하다.

  To an ethnic Korean woman, spring day is bitterly cold as well as warm, like a spring breeze. In this tough world even to Koreans, what dose her presence mean? This film, paradoxically, seems to sing the springtime in life, which will never come to her. In addition, her face is interesting in that it connects time and space in this film as well as makes us confront deep introspection about universal humanity.

  시놉시스
  세르지와 스베타는 체르노빌에 산다. 세르지는 방사성 폐기물 사용공장에서 트럭을 몬다. 스베타는 방사성 오염물질 처리 공장에서 일한다. 이들의 일과 삶은 시계태엽같이 정확하고 일정한 리듬에 의해서 지배된다. 하지만 이러한 메커니즘이 매일매일 움직이도록 만드는 것은 무엇인가.

  Synopsis
  Sergiy and Sveta live in Chernobyl. Sergiy is a truck-driver at a radioactive wastes utilization plant. Sveta works at a radioactive decontamination laundry. Their work and their life are dictated by one unchangeable rhythm with clockwork precision. But what sets this mechanism in motion - day by day.

  흩날리는 눈마저 황량해 보이는 도시의 풍경이 보인다.
  우리에게는 참혹한 지옥의 도시로 알려진 우크라이나 체르노빌의 핵폐기물 활용공장에서 일하는 노동자의 일상이 영화 속에 펼쳐진다. 이 하루하루 똑같이 반복되는 기계적인 공간과 삶 속에서도 생의 욕구들과 그 찌꺼기가 배출되고 순환된다. 대부분의 쇼트들이 롱 테이크로 표현되는 이 영화는 코바야시 마사히로의 <사랑의 예감>과 샹탈 애커만의 <잔느 딜망> 그리고 김동명의 <피로>를 인상 깊게 봤던 시네필들에게는 반드시 봐야 할 영화가 될 것이다.

  There appears a townscape in which even blowing snow seems desolate.
  The daily life of workers in the factory of reprocessing nuclear waste in Chernobyl, known as a miserable city of hell, in Ukraine is depicted in the movie. Even in such a repetitive mechanical space and life, the desire of life and residues are released and circulated. This movie, expressing most shorts as a way of long-take, will be a must see movie to the cine-philes who impressively saw Kobayashi Masahiro's , Chantal Anne Akerman's , and KIM Dong-myeong's .

  미로슬라브 슬라보스핏스키 Myroslav Slaboshpytskiy
  1974년 키예프(우크라이나) 출생. 키예프 연극예술 주립학교 영화제작학과(장편영화 연출전공)를 졸업했다. 다수의 TV영화 시나리오 작가로 활동하며 대표작으로는 우크라이나 시나리오 콘테스트 “Word-2000"에서 수상한 이 있다. 그의 두 번째 영화 는 황금곰상 후보에 오르기도 했다. 그 다음 단편영화 는 그의 두 번째 베를린 영화제로의 외출이 되었고 역시 황금곰상 후보에 올랐다.
  2012년, 로카르노 영화제의 경쟁 작품으로 올랐던 <핵 폐기물>는 은상을 수상했다.  

  Born in Kiev in 1974, in Kiev (Ukraine) Myroslav Slaboshpytskiy graduated from the film making department of the Kiev State Institute of Theatre and Arts, named after I. K. Karpenko-Kariy, majoring in feature film directing. He also worked as a script writer on numerous TV films, one of which which won the prize of the All-Ukrainian Script Contest “Word-2000”. His second film has been nominated for Golden Bear. His next short film is his second Berlinale outing and also got a Golden Bear nomination. In 2012, Myroslav won the Silver Leopard of the Locarno Film Festival’s competition program “Pardi di domani" for his film

  퇴임한 다니엘은 40살의 자폐아들 줄리안과 단 둘이 살고 있다. 다니엘은 자신이 곧 죽는다는 것을 알게 되고 줄리안의 미래에 대해 걱정한다. 
  Synopsis
  Daniel, a retired widower, lives alone with his 40 ‐ year ‐ old autistic son, Julien. Daniel learns he is dying, bringing up the question of Julien’s future.

   

  리뷰 _ 이상훈
  ‘회자정리’라고 한다. 만난 자는 반드시 헤어진다는 것이다. 하지만 여기 절대 헤어져서는 안 되는 두 사람이 있다. 부부도 연인도 아닌 그들은 세상에 아무도 의지할 사람이 없으며 이제는 시한부생명을 선고받은 늙은 아버지와 지적 장애가 있는 중년의 아들이다. 남겨진 사람 때문에 갈 수 없는 떠나는 자의 마음을 절절히 느낄 수 있는 작품이다.
  호주의 극작가인 다니엘 키니의 연극작품을 각색한 시나리오도 좋지만 아버지와 아들을 둘러싸고 있는 세상과 그들이 처한 막막한 상황을 형상화한 연출이 좋다.

  As the saying goes, 'Those who meet must part(會者定離)'. But, here are two people who must not part. They are not a couple or lovers. They are an old father who is terminally ill and his mentally handicapped middle-aged son. They don't have anyone to rely on. You can feel the father's mind who can not leave because of the son who will be left behind all alone. 
  The Scenario which was adapted from Australian playwright Daniel Keene's play is excellent and the directing which depicts father and son and their surrounding world is fabulous.
