  시놉시스
  공무원 시험을 준비 중인 지희는 생활고에 시달리며 살아간다. 지희는 생활비를 조금이라도 아끼고자 아르바이트를 하는 고깃집에서 식재료들을 조금씩 훔쳐가고, 가게에서 같이 일하던 방글라데시 청년 아쇼크가 해고당하게 된다. 어느 날 가게로 찾아온 아쇼크를 보고 지희는 미안함과 측은함을 느끼며 술을 한 잔 사겠다고 제안하는데, 아쇼크의 가방이 왠지 신경쓰인다...
  Synopsis
  Ji-hee, preparing for a civil service exam and economically distressed, is spending her days in a state of torpor.
  She steals groceries steadily from her part-time work place, to be frugal of her living expenses. As a result, her co-worker Ashock, who is from Bangladesh, gets fired. One day, Ashock comes to the restaurant looking for Ji-hee and Ji-hee offers him a drink. However Ashock’s bag is getting on her nerves.

  무의식 중에 어떤 대상을 불쌍히 여기며 의도치 않게 무시할 때가 있다. 그리고 나는 그럴 자격이 있는가.

  We feel pity for someone and neglect them unconsciously. And, do I have the right to do so?

  방글라데시 출신인 아쇼크와 지희는 같은 고기 집에서 아르바이트를 하는 친구 사이입니다. 고기를 훔쳤다는 누명을 쓰고 짤린 아쇼크를 위로하기 위해 지희는 술자리를 만들고 술자리는 아쇼크의 집으로 이어집니다. 방글라데시 출신이기에 당연히 가난하리라는 지희의 예상은 보기 좋게 빗나갑니다. 통념이 뒤집히는 순간 느끼는 당혹감과 통쾌함이란.. 영화 <아쇼크>는 우리에게 묻습니다. 당신들도 통념에 사로잡혀 있지 않는지.

  Ashock, a Bangladeshi man, and Ji-hee are friends working part-time job in a steakhouse. One day Ashock is falsely accused of stealing meat and fired. To cheer him up, Ji-hee drinks with him and goes to his house. Her expectation that he would be poor because he is a Bangladeshi man goes off. What a pleasant thrill in the moment that the social convention is broken! This film asks us if you are seized with the social convention or not.

  장우진
  1986년 서울에서 출생하여 학창시절을 모두 대전에서 보냄. 대학 기간 동안 김수진 감독과 여러 공동작업을 진행. 1년 후배이자 15년 지기 친구인 양희진의 도움을 받아 졸업영화 <아쇼크>를 완성. 특별하지 않은 것이 자신의 장점이자 영화감독이 될 수 있는 이유라고 여기며 작품 활동에 정진.

  Born on 1986 in Seoul, and spends his whole childhood in Daejeon. He does many collaboration with Soo-jin Kim in Chung-Ang University. Help of Hee-jin Yang, who has been his friend for 15 years and also a junior at university, he finishes his graduation film 'Ashock'. Regarding himself nothing special is his strength and the reason he could keep on making films.

  시놉시스
  가난하고 전망 없는 한 가정에서의 삶의 현실을 그린 영화. 이야기는 한 마을에서 일어난다. 두 십대 아이들은 돈을 벌기 위해 소를 돌보며 시간을 보낸다. 비록 이들은 가난에 얽매여 살고 있지만 여전히 밝은 미래를 꿈꾸며 그 꿈을 성취하기 위해 살아간다.
  Synopsis
  The reality of living in a poor non perspective family.  Action takes place in a village, two teenagers spend their life grazing cows to earn money for survival. Although, they are stuck in poverty, they are still optimistic, and live to achieve theirs dreams.

  척박한 시골마을에서 소를 키우며 살아가는 소녀. 눈앞의 현실은 열악한 삶의 방식에서 벗어날 길이 없어 보이지만 어른들의 무기력함과 틀에 박힌 삶의 태도와는 달리 소녀는 여전히 꿈을 꾸며 희망을 키운다. 시선을 잡아채는 수려한 영상미가 돋보이며 주어진 삶을 천진하고 밝은 웃음 하나로 달관하며 받아들이는 지혜를 가진 소녀의 건강함이 아름답다.

  A girl living in a barren rural village raising cattle. Though facing the harsh life in front of her, she still dreams a better future and has a hope, which is quite different from the hopeless attitude of adults. Gorgeous images will attract your eyes and the girl's wisdom to accept the reality with cheerful healthy smile is beautiful.

  1987년 2월 22일 몰디바의 키시나우에서 출생. “치프리안 포룸베슈”고등학교에서 드럼을 배웠다. 12년 동안 몸담았던 음악을 떠나 음악극예술학교에서 영화연출과 편집을 전공했다. 여기서 영화촬영에 대한 흥미 있고 유용한 것들을 배웠다. 사진촬영과 촬영감독이 주요 관심 분야이다.

  Synopsis
  One man's sight is wandering in the middle of total chaos. He has his own reasons to reach his destination and do his job, but his journey turns out to be not so easy as it seems.

  멜로란 장르에서 볼 수 있는 관습적인 장치와 요소들을 그대로 사용하되 그것들을 연출하는 데 있어서 멜로 이외의 장르들이 제공할 수 있는 관습적인 장치와 요소들의 장점들을 활용하여 사랑에 빠진 한 남자의 혼란스러움을 보다 생생히 표현하고자 하였다.
  Director’s Statement
  Depicting the nervous mind of a young college boy loving a girl, I aimed to deliver the chaos in such man’s mind to the audience by borrowing styles from genres other than conventional love stories in order to visualize broader aspects of it.

  주인공의 얼굴을 단 한 번도 보지 못한다면 우리는 그 인물에게 어떻게 감정이입 할 것인가? 영화사에서 1인칭 시점 영화들이 모조리 실패한 이유는 여기에 있다. 그가 보는 것만 보여주니 정작 우리가 보지 못한 것은 바로 그. <첫눈>은 사랑고백을 담은 쪽지를 전하려는 한 청년의 노력을 그의 시점으로 그린 영화다. 하지만 이 영화가 보여주지 못한 것은 그의 얼굴 뿐. 그가 어떤 사람인지 '눈에 선하게' 그려내는 데 성공한다. 좌충우돌, 우왕좌왕. 말을 더듬고 한 번에 햄버거 3개를 먹어치우는 공대 우등생 '우람'이가 거둔 그 해의 승리. 특히 엔딩 신이 사랑스럽다.

  If you never saw the movie hero, how could you feel empathy with the character? This is the reason why all the films that were in first person point of view are failed. We cannot see the main character because the film shows only what he sees. is a film depicts a young man trying to send a message to confess his love in first person point of view. The only thing that this movie can't show is the main character's face. But it succeeded in showing vivid images of what he's really like. The main character, U-ram, is a top engineering student who eats 3 hamburgers up at once but stammering and chaotic. Especially, the ending scene is sweet.

  1983년 베를린 출생. 영국에서 1년, 일본에서 1년을 거주했다. 2007년 유럽 민족학 및 영화학 공부를 마치고, 포츠담-바벨스에서 HFF "콘라드 울프“에서 연출공부를 시작했다.
  Born 1983 in Berlin. Josephine spent a year in England and another in Japan. After graduating in  European Ethnology and Film Studies in 2007, she began studying directing at the HFF “Konrad Wolf” in Potsdam-Babelsberg.
