  시놉시스
  뜨거운 여름, 여자는 남자의 성화에 못 이겨 삼겹살을 구워먹는다. 시원한 남자, 반면 뒷정리는 땀 흘리는 여자의 몫. 그리고 냉동실에서 쏟아지는 음식물 쓰레기. 짜증이 난 여자는 음식물 쓰레기를 치우며 화를 삭이는데... 여자가 남자에게 던지는 결정적 한방!!
  Synopsis
  One hot summer day, woman grilled samgyupsal because of her boyfriend's demanding. The guy feels satisfaction, while the woman has to clean up after meal with sweat. Besides, food waste pours out of the freezer. Irritating woman tries to calm down with cleaning food waste...then the woman strikes a decisive attack to the guy!

  ‘익숙함’은 꼭 안정감, 편안함만을 주는 것이 아니라고 생각합니다. 여기에서 오는 불안과 갈등, 그리고 이것을 벗어났을 때 오는 상쾌함을 오래된 연인과 더운 여름을 소재로 표현하고 싶었습니다.
  Director’s Statement
  I think 'familiar' not always means stability and comfortable. I want to express anxiety , thirst and fresh when you get out of it as material of old couple and hot summer.

  낮과 밤 Lights in the Dusk

  시놉시스
  현영은 고장 난 자전거와 함께 서울에서 월세가 가장 싼 동네로 이사를 온다. 물어물어 찾아간 동네 자전거포. 사장이 사라진 자전거포에는 혼자 남은 자전거 수리공 민우가 가게를 지키고 있다.
  Synopsis
  Hyeon-yeong moves into the cheapest area in Seoul dragging her broken bike. After asking all around, she finally finds a bike shop. As the bike shop owner disappeared, a repairman Min-woo left alone to keep the shop.

   

  연출의도
  사는 게 팍팍하다고 생각하는 경우, 대부분 그 원인은 사람에게 있었고 또 해결책도 사람에게 있었다는 경험에 비추어, 우리가 기댈 곳은 사람 밖에 없지 않나 싶다.
  Director’s Statement
  If you think you are living a hardscrabble life, in most case, people are the causes and solutions of the problem in the light of experience. Human being is the only one we can lean on I guess.  

   

  리뷰 _ 문관규
  <낮과 밤>은 도시의 한 공간에서 일어날 수 있는 소소한 이야기에 연애 감정을 가미했다. 자전거를 타고 다니는 여자는 자전거 대리점에 브레이크를 수리하러 가서 수리공 남자를 만난다. 수리공은 친절하고 밝으며 여자는 내성적이고 다소 무거워 낮과 밤처럼 대조적인 인물이다. 소극적인 여자이지만 남자를 보기 위해 건너편에서 자전거 라이트를 깜박거리며 신호를 보내고 그들의 만남은 이어진다. 두 사람은 2시에 만나서 한강을 가기로 약속을 하지만 자전거 대리점은 폐업을 했다. 기다리는 여자는 실의에 빠지고 한강으로 나간다. 마지막의 반전과 그리워하는 여자의 감정이 이 작품을 돋보이게 한다.
  Review _ MOON Gwan-kyu
  adds romance to a story which might happen somewhere in a city. A girl riding a bike brings her bike to a repair shop to fix its brake and meets a repairman. He is kind and cheerful while she is quiet and rather dismal, so they are contrasting just like a day and night. Though she is passive, she blinks her bike light signalling him that she is waiting for him across the street and their dating is going on. One day they are to meet at 2 and go to the Han river, but the repair shop is closed. The woman falls into the disappointment and goes to the river alone. The last minute's reversal and the woman's feelings rebounds to this film.

  꿈꾸는 차벨라 Dreaming Chavela

  시놉시스
  라파엘 아마르고는 35세에 자신의 뮤즈가 그를 버렸다고 느낀 한 예술가이다. 어떤 순간에 많은 예술가들이 겪게 되는 일. 그는 그 ‘예술의 요정’의 ‘마법’에 다시 불을 붙이기 위한 영감을 찾아야 했다. 이것은 그가 영감의 근원을 찾아 이 영화의 진정한 주인공의 안식처에 다다를때 까지, 바다와 산, 길을 건너는 여행길에 오르게 한다. 그의 목표는 로르카로부터의 편지를 뮤즈인 차벨라 바르가스에게 건네주는 것이다.
  Synopsis
  Rafael Amargo is an artist who at the age of 35 feels his muses have abandoned him. Something many artists go through at some given moment. He feels a need to seek inspiration to rekindle the ‘magic’ of the ‘art fairy’. This launches him on a journey that will take him to the source of such kind of inspiration, crossing seas, mountains and many roads until he arrives at the refuge of the real protagonist of this film. His goal is to hand a letter from Lorca to the muse, Chavela Vargas.

  <꿈꾸는 차벨라>는 두 예술가를 둘러싼 전설과 통념을 깨려는 목표를 가지고 있다. 로르카 지역을 통한 그들의 유대는 이 두 주인공 사이의 끝없는 대화의 밤으로 이어진다. 영화를 통해 본래 형태의 창조적 광기가 탐구될 것이다. 라파엘 아마르고는 대부분의 언론인들이 접근도 할 수 없을 친밀한 광기를 차벨라 바르가스와 공유하는 가능성을 가지고 있다.
  Director’s Statement
  aims break away from the legends and myths created around both artists. Their bond through Lorca has lead to endless nights of conversation between our two protagonists. That point of creative madness in its innate form will be explored. Rafael Amargo has the possibility to share with Chavela Vargas that point of intimate madness to which not many journalists have access.

  이 영화는 2012년 타계한 멕시코의 전설적인 가수 차벨라 바르가스(Chavela Vargas, 1912 - 2012)의 인생을 인터뷰로 구성한 다큐멘터리형식의 영화이다. 차벨라 바르가스는 낮고 흐느끼는 듯한 특유의 목소리로 라틴아메리카 혁명의 현대사를 살아온 서민의 벗이자 시대를 대표하는 여성가수이다. 1990년대에는 독일의 베르너 헤어조크, 스페인의 페드로 알모도바르 등 유럽 영화감독들의 흠모 속에 영화음악으로 애용되기도 했다. 영화 속에서 차벨라는 파블로 네루다, 길거리 악사들(마리아치) 등 라틴아메리카의 예술과 오래된 친구들에 대해 자유롭게 이야기 한다. 감독의 과잉된 나레이션과 찬사가 보통사람 차벨라의 참된 모습을 가릴 때도 있지만, 간간이 흐르는 차벨라의 낮고 깊은 라틴 노래가 영화 속에 침잠하게 이끈다. 멕시코 데킬라의 쓰고 깊은 맛이 느껴지는 영화이다.

  This is a documentary film consisting of interviews of a legendary Mexican singer Chavela Vargas(1912-2012). Vargas has a distinctive voice low and sensitive. This female singer represents her era and was a friend of ordinary people who have gone through the modern history of the Latine American revolution. In 1990s, her music was a favorite to European film directors, including Werner Herzog in Germany, Pedro Almodovar in Spain. In this film, she talks about the art of Latin America, such as Pablo Neruda, street musicians(mariachi) and her old friends freely. Sometimes director's excessive narration and admiration reduce the true picture of Chavela Vargas but her low and deep voice in Latin music makes this film flows calmly. Deep and bitter taste of Mexican tequila seems to be felt in this film.

  라파엘 아마르고 Rafael Amargo
  라파엘 아마르고는 다방면의 댄서이자 안무가이다. 그는 스승들의 가장 순수한 형태의 플라멩코에 영감을 받았지만, 동시에 그가 뉴욕에서 지내는 동안 Marta Graham 학교의 수업과 같은, 다른 종류의 안무 트렌드와도 동화되었다. 그의 안무는 전통적인 그리고 현대적인 컨셉이 함께 드러난다. 때로는 현대 무용에 가깝지만, 절대 플라멩코의 본질을 잃지 않는다. 그는 예술, 문화계 종사자들과 끊임없는 관계를 맺었다. 초기 시절에 Luis Gordillo와 Esperanza D'Ors와 같은 구상 예술가의 후원을 받고, Bruce Weber와 Christopher Makos와 사진 작업을 하고, Hernani에 있는 Chillida 박물관의 조각상에서 영감을 받아 안무를 만들었다.
  Rafael Amargo is a dancer and eclectic choreographer. He was inspired by the purest flamenco from his teachers, but at the same time he has assimilated another type of choreographic trends, such as lessons of Marta Graham at school during his stay in New York. His choreographies are brimming with traditional and current conception as well. Sometimes very close to contemporary dance, they never lose the reference point of the essence of flamenco. He has a constant contact with the artistic and cultural world that has allowed him to be sponsored at the beginning of his career by artists such as Luis Gordillo or Esperanza D'Ors; be photographed by Bruce Weber and Christopher Makos, or to choreograph a piece inspired by the work of the sculptor for the Chillida Museum in Hernani.
