  주호가 길을 걷다가 동전을 발견한다. 신난 주호는 동전을 줍기 위해 잠깐 동전을 밟는다. 주호의 발에 밟힌 동전은 자신의 탈출을 위해 다른 동전들을 부른다. 하지만 다른 동전들마저 주호가 주워가고, 동전들은 5만 원 지폐가 된다. 주호는 신나서 뛰어가다 실수로 5만 원을 날려버리고, 5만 원은 바람과 함께 사라져버린다.

  15살 해솔은 모든 것에 무관심하다. 반면 같은 반 별하는 활기차다. 어느 날, 별하의 제안으로 마니또 게임이 시작된다. 해솔은 별하의 이름을 뽑지만 마니또 게임에 참여할 생각이 전혀 없다. 며칠 뒤, 해솔은 편지 하나를 발견한다. 마니또가 보낸 편지로, 사는 게 재미있어지도록 도와주겠다며 좋아하는 것 3개를 찾으라는 숙제를 내준다. 물론, 해솔은 이번에도 무시해버린다. 방과 후, 해솔은 하프를 연주하던 별하와 마주친다. 별하는 해솔에게 노래를 불러보라고 하고, 해솔은 음악에서 뜻밖의 재능을 찾게 된다. 모든 것에 워낙 무관심했던 탓에, 해솔은 관심이 생긴 별하와 음악에 빠져든다. 하지만 해솔의 하나뿐인 친구가 된 별하는 자신이 해솔의 마니또이며, 외국으로 가게 되었다고 고백한다. 그날 밤, 해솔은 별하가 내준 '숙제'에 노래 부르기와 별하를 좋아한다고 적는다.

  15-year-old Haesol is indifferent to everything. On the other hand, Byeolha, her classmate, is active. One day, Byeolha suggested to have a game, called "Manito" (a secret friend game). Haesol picks Byeolha as her secret friend, but she has no intention of participating in the game. A few days later, Haesol finds a letter from her manito, saying “I will give a homework. Find three things you like, I will help you make your life more exciting. Of course, Haesol ignores it this time as well.

  
  

  After school, Haesol encounters Byeolha, playing the harp. Byeolha asks Haesol to sing, and Haesol finds herself having an unexpected talent in music. Haesol, who used to be so indifferent to everything, get interested in Byeolha and music. However, Byeolha, who became Haesol's only friend, confesses that she is Haesol's secret friend, manito, and she will go to abroad.
