  아직 죽음의 의미를 모르는 어린아이에게 나타난 감동적인 환상에 관한 작품이다. 성묘를 위해 할아버지의 집에 방문한 칭허는 오토바이를 타고 다니는 사람만 보면 할아버지가 아닌지 돌아보게 된다. 칭허는 할아버지가 언제든 다시 돌아오실 수도 있다고 생각하고 있다. 어린아이의 순수한 믿음이 기적과 같은 일을 가능하게 하는 걸지도 모른다고 영화는 말하는 듯하다. 영화 전반에 깔린 서정적인 분위기와 아이가 할아버지를 만나는 밤의 환상적인 장면이 매력적인 작품이다.

  A touching fantasy about a child who does not know the meaning of death yet. Qinghe, who visited his grandfather’s home to pay respects at their family grave, looks back at anyone on a motorcycle to see if it isn't his grandpa. Qinghe thinks his grandfather could come back at any time. The film seems to suggest that a child's pure faith may be what makes miraculous things possible. The lyrical atmosphere over most of the movie and the fantastic night scene when the child meets his grandfather make this a charming work.

  영화는 독특하고 조금은 잔인한 풍경으로 시작한다. 특히 공장이나 자동차, 가정의 굴뚝에서 나오는 매연이 안개와 섞여 앞을 볼 수 없을 정도로 짙은 스모그로 표현하고 있는 점이 눈에 띈다. 스모그로 가득 찬 도시에서 부모와 함께 사는 주인공은 주변에서 어떤 일이 벌어지고 있는지 확인조차 불가능한 상황에서 담배를 피우거나, 개구리 배를 가리거나 느닷없이 친구에게 폭력을 행사하거나, 반대로 폭력을 당하기도 한다. 그때 한 친구를 만난다. 친구는 주인공을 도시의 소음이 아닌 새소리와 꽃향기가 가득 찬 곳으로 안내한다. 흑백 애니메이션 속 도시와 집을 부유하는 안개가 그의 삶을 폭력적으로 만든다면, 꽃과 새가 있는 곳에서 주인공은 평화로워 보인다. 단순한 그림체 속에 수많은 상징과 은유를 담아낸 영화는 의미심장하다.

  The movie starts in a unique and a little cruel scenery. In particular, the way the thick smoke from the factories, cars, and chimneys of homes mixed with fog is expressed as smog that is too thick to see through is striking. In this city of smog, the protagonist, who lives with his parents, in a situation where it is impossible to check what is going on around him, smokes a cigarette, splits the belly of a frog, uses violence against a friend out of the blue, or on the contrary, has violence used against him. That’s when he meets a friend. The friend leads the protagonist to a place full of bird songs and the scent of flowers and not the din of the city. If, in this black and white animation, the fog that floats around the city and his home makes the protagonist violent, the protagonist looks peaceful in the presence of the flowers and birds. The movie, which contains numerous symbols and metaphors within its simple art style, is significant.

The film shows the scenes of daily life in Dakhla and a small event called the film festival. Dakhla becomes a cinematic place from the view of the camera that delicately captures daily life, which is so universal. The camera does not miss the cinematic landscapes inherent to the desert, the occasional beautiful composition between buildings and characters, the colorful mise-en-scene created by the people’s colorful clothes, and the interesting rhythms of everyday movements. It is a work that separates the lives of the people of Dakhla from oblivion without exaggerating or reducing the lives that last even in this barren environment.

  주인공은 하이킹을 하던 남자를 미처 보지 못해 교통사고를 낸다. 쓰러져 있는 남자를 살펴보던 이들은 심장이 뛰지 않는 피해자를 앞에 두고 서로의 잘못 때문에 일이 벌어졌다며 실랑이를 벌인다. 그 와중에 범죄 경력이 있는 한 남자가 사고를 은폐하자고 주장하자 다른 남자도 이에 동의하고 피해자를 트렁크에 싣는다. 그런데 이때 한 여자가 나타나면서 상황은 아무도 예상하지 못한 전개로 흘러간다. 영화는 하나의 테이크로 촬영된 작품으로 감각적인 연출이 매력적인 작품이다. 특히 엔딩에서의 긴장감은 이후에 어떤 일이 벌어졌을지 예상케 하며 영화의 흐름을 순식간에 바꾸어 놓는다.

The man with a criminal history among them insists on covering up the accident. Another man agrees and puts their victim in the trunk of their car. However, a woman appears at this time, and the situation develops in a way no one expected. The film is shot in a single take, and its sensational direction is attractive.   중년의 여인과 콜보이의 대화를 중심으로 삶과 죽음에 대한 농담과 진담 사이를 쉴 새 없이 오가는 작품이다. 타니아의 계속된 농담에 콜보이는 물론 관객 역시 처음에는 그녀가 하는 말의 진의를 점점 의심하게 되는데 대화에 빠져들다 보면 더는 말의 진실 여부가 중요하게 느껴지지 않게 된다. 그보다 때로는 가볍게, 때로는 진중하게 전달되는 타니아의 삶에 대한 열망과 죽음에 대한 통찰이 흥미롭게 다가올 것이다. 한 장소에서 두 인물의 대화가 극을 이끌어가는 작품이지만 계속해서 죽음 근처를 서성이는 타니아의 몸짓은 영화가 끝날 때까지 긴장을 놓을 수 없게끔 만든다. 영화가 끝날 때 삶도 끝날까? 삶이 끝날 때 영화도 끝날까? 영화는 끝날 때까지 끝나지 않는다.

  Centered around the conversation between two people, the work ceaselessly jumps between joking and being serious about life and death. At first, due to Tania's continued joking, Coleby and the audience become increasingly suspicious of the true meaning of what she says, but as you fall into the conversation, you no longer feel that the truths behind the words are important. Rather you will find yourself becoming interested in Tania's desire for life and her insight into death, which are sometimes conveyed lightly and other times sincerely. The work is primarily portrayed as a conversation between two people in one spot. However, Tania's gestures, which continue to hover near death, make it impossible to relax until the movie ends. Will life end at the end of the movie? Will the movie end when life ends? The movie doesn't end until it's over.
