  소년 지로가 아프자 아버지는 지로를 병원에 데리고 간다. 의사는 특별히 아픈 곳이 없다고 말하지만, 지로의 정체성은 통째로 흔들리고 만다.

   

  Jiro, a little boy, feels sick. His father takes him to the doctor, who diagnoses a harmless condition. But it shakes the core of the boy’s identity.

   

  존 프리키 John Frickey

   

  1979년 독일 스타드에서 출생해 함부르크에서 거주하며 작업하고 있다. 광고 예술 감독으로 일하던 존 프리키 감독은 2006년 이후 영화감독 및 일러스트레이터로 활동하고 있다. <고양이 소년>은 그의 첫 번째 단편영화이다.

   

  Born in Stade, Germany, in 1979. Lives and works in Hamburg. A filmmaker and illustrator since 2006, previously an art director in advertising. CAT DAYS is Frickey’s first short film that can be considered a film for children.

  1990년대 인도 펀잡의 작은 마을. 토피는 두 어린 소녀에 관하여, 세상 돌아가는 것에 대한 그들의 인식에 관하여, 그리고 어떻게 그들의 작은 세상이 사회의 냉혹한 현실에 굴복하는지에 관하여 이야기한다.

   

  Set in the 1990’s, in a small village of Punjab, India. Toffee tells the story of two young girls, their perception of how things work and how their own little world succumbs to the harsh realities of society

  타히라 카쉬얀 감독은 펀자브 지역 빅 92.7 FM 라디오 프로그램부서의 국장을 역임했다.<토피사탕>은 그녀의 시나리오 및 연출 데뷔작이다.

   

  She was the Programming head of Big 92.7 FM in Punjab. ‘Toffee’ is her debut project as a screenplay writer and director.

  애니메이션 데뷔작인 <하나>를 만들기 위해 디니 감독은 오래된 로토스코핑 기술을 바탕으로 한 애니메이션 작품에서부터 <반지의 제왕>, <아메리칸 팝>, <파이어 앤 아이스>, <비틀즈의 엘로우 서브마린>, <웨이킹 라이프>, <아쿠 노 하나> 등의 최첨단 디지털 방식으로 만든 작품들까지 섭렵했다. 사이키델릭한 장면('나는 열심히 공부할 것이다'의 장면)은 <비틀즈의 엘로우 서브마린>의 장면에서 영감을 얻었다.

   

  To create his animation debut, Hana, for the visual style, he went through old rotoscope animation to the new digital age one such as Lord of the Ring, American Pop, Fire and Ice, Beatles Yellow Submarine, Waking Life and Aku No Hana(Flower of Evil). The psychedelic scene (‘I will study hard’ scene) was obviously inspired by the one in Beatle Yellow Submarine.

  지바 아르잔은 ASIFA IRAN 회원이다. 2013년 애미네이션 스쿨을 수료했으며, 이란의 젊은 영화 소사이어티의 연례 영화 제작 코스를 수료했다.

   

  Ziba Arzhang is a Member of ASIFA IRAN (Association of Animation Film Filmmakers). In 2013, she graduated animation courses in Saba Cultural and Artistic Institute, and Iranian Young Cinema Society 2013 Annual Filmmaking course.

  <내 친구의 신발>은 외딴 구자라트 지역에 살고 있는 두 소년에 대한 감동적인 이야기이다. 두 소년은 모두 축구를 좋아하지만, 한 소년은 낮은 계층에 속한 도둑의 아들이고, 또 다른 소년은 높은 계층에 속한 마을 지도자의 아들이다. 어느 날 둘 중 한 소년이 황금색 축구화를 선물 받게 되는데, 이로 인해 친구와의 우정에 금이 가고, 급기야 친구가 마을에서 쫓겨나는 상황이 벌어지고 만다.

   

  Rammat Gammat is a moving a tale of two best friends and young boys in rural Gujarat - the son of a lower caste thief and the son of an upper caste village head and their mutual love for football. Their friendship is stretched to the breaking point when one of them is gifted a pair of golden yellow football studs, which will take him away from his friend and out of the village.

   

  아짓팔 싱 Ajitpal Singh

   

  화학과를 졸업한 이후, 연극과 사진을 공부했으며, 2012년, 선댄스 극작가 인도 랩에서 선정된 시나리오 작업을 한 후 몇몇 실험영화를 만들며 영화를 연출하고 있다.

   

  After studying chemistry, learning theatre and photography, he slowly came to filmmaking, making some experimental films before writing a fiction film script that was selected or Sundance Screenwriter’s India Lab in 2012.
