올해는 총 12개국 24편 (장편 9편, 단편 15편)의 영화를 선보입니다.
국제해양영화제는 국내외 다양한 해양영화상영을 통해
여러분과 함께 우리 모두를 위한 푸른 바다를 꿈꿔보고 싶습니다.

This year, we are screening a total of 24 films (9 full-length, 15 shorts) from 12 countries.

파도가 부르는 소리
바다는 사계절 동안 늘 같은 모습인 것 같지만 늘 다른 모습으로 우리 곁에 머뭅니다. 봄, 여름, 가을, 겨울, 어제 그리고 오늘.
기억 속 바다를 떠올릴 때마다 바다의 색, 온도 그리고 파도의 소리마저 모두 다름을 우리는 알 수 있습니다.
2019 국제해양영화제의 테마는 ‘파도가 부르는 소리’입니다. 잔잔한 파도를 지나 넓은 바다로 전진하는 갓 태어난 새끼 거북이들. 수십 미터의 거친 파도를 정복하려 목숨을 걸고 바다로 나선 서퍼들, 그리고 날카로운 얼음 조각을 품고 달려드는 무시무시한 파도를 뚫고 바다를 보호하기 위해 전진하는 바다 지킴이들.
이들은 모두 파도의 부름에 기꺼이 응답하려 오늘도 바다로 나섭니다.
2019 국제해양영화제는 파도의 부름에 이끌려 오늘도 바다에서, 바다를 위해 살아가는 이야기를 영화에 담아 전달하고자 합니다.
The Calling of the Waves
The ocean seems indifferent to changes; however, it has different colors, temperatures, and sounds every season.
The Korea International Ocean Film Festival (KIOFF) chose the “Calling of the Waves” as this year’s theme to honor everything related to the ocean, including the turtle hatchlings bravely marching over the waves, the surfers surfing to conquer the gigantic waves, and the ocean protectors who sail through the deadly icebergs in the Antarctic. What is the commonality of them all? They answered to the “calling of the waves” in their own way without a single doubt.
Through the carefully selected program of KIOFF 2019, we hope you experience the love and joy of exploring the various voices of the ocean with us.
