    집을 잃은 후 잘 곳도, 머물 곳도 사라진 가족. 로지와 남편 존, 그리고 어린 네 아이들은 작은 자동차에 의지해 새로운 보금자리를 찾아 나선다. 오늘만 견디면 될 거라고 생각했던 내일이 반복되면서, 당장 밤을 함께 보낼 방 한 칸 조차 구하지 못하는 극한의 상황까지 도달한 가족. 설상가상 이웃들까지 로지의 이러한 상황을 눈치채고 마는데… 로지는 세상의 냉혹함과 마주한 현실 속에서 사랑하는 가족을 지켜내려 발버둥치기 시작한다.


     



     


    After losing her house, Rosy’s family does not have anyhwere to stay and sleep. So Rosy, her husband John and their young 4 children start to find a new house relying only on the small car. But their dream that they will get better if they hang tough now is not realized, pushing them into the extremely hard condition where they cannot find any place to stay. To make matters worse, their neighbors seem to know their condition… Now, Rosy starts to protect her family members who she loves most fighting against cold reality and the heartless world.

    첫 장편 <알리사>는 산 세바스티안 영화제에서 최우수 작품상을 받았다. 두 번째 장편 <아이 웬트 다운>도 1997년 산 세바스티안 영화제에서 신인 감독상을 받았다. <아이 웬트 다운>은 1998년 선댄스에서 상영되어 테살로니키 국제영화제와 보고타 영화제에서 감독상을 받았다. 2016년 그의 스페인어 영화 <비바>는 아카데미 외국어 영화 최우수 작품상 후보에 올랐다.


     



     


    His first feature, Alisa got the grand prize from the San Sebastián International Film Festival and his second film I went Down was award for the new director from the same film festival in 1997. I Went down was shown in Sundance in 1998 and awarded for the director from Thessaloniki and Bogota film festival. In 2016, his spanish based film Viva was nominated as the best Foreign Language Film.
