  In a remote Laotian village, one middle-aged man makes a living repairing motorbikes and machines. Though he seems like an ordinary villager, something about him is out of place. In the present, a sick mother sells herbs on the street to make a living. Despite her young son's best intentions, he is unable to offer any help and his irritable father keeps losing his temper with the rest of the family. One day, the boy stumbles upon a woman bleeding to death and ends up befriending her spirit. What does fate have in store for them? This is the third feature film by Mattie Do, the first female Lao director to make a name for herself on the international scene. Since her debut, her work has consistently presented a unique perspective and cinematic grammar, seen easily in her mystery and horror films. Here, she once again proves her exceptional directing skills through the uncanny sense of tension and immersion maintained throughout the film. This cinematic gem has been presented at major film festivals around the world, including the Venice, Toronto, and Busan International Film Festivals.
